Arabinogalactan – promotes the intestinal balance^a

Arabinogalactan is a biopolymer consisting of arabinose and galactose monosaccharides. In nature, especially plants, it is a major component of many gums, but the one in Biostile Liquid Micro Balance® comes from larch (Larix laricina and Larix occidentalis). Larch arabinogalactan is considered a fiber that ferments in the intestine. Iz has a prebiotic and bifidogenic effect and contributes to gut regularity.^a

Chicory – support in weight loss^b and improved heart activity^c

Inulin is found in chicory root (Cichorium intybus). Chicory root extract contributes to the stimulation of the production of the digestive body fluids and the gastro-intestinal movement^d. It can also assist loss of weight in addition to dieting^b and supports heart health^c, which has been proved by our clinical trial¹ as well.

Clinical study details¹

The interventional, randomized clinical study included 120 subjects who tested Biostile Liquid Micro Balance® and 4 other products during a period of 8 weeks. The study tried to show the effects of each supplement on the components of the metabolic syndrome (for example: LDL cholesterol, visceral body fat) in overweight and obese adults. It also tested the effect on some of the inflammatory factors and intestinal permeability markers (for example, zonulin). All of them had to follow a restriction diet as well.

Reduced intestinal permeability¹

Leaky gut, or “intestinal permeability,” is a condition in which the lining of the small intestine becomes damaged, causing undigested food particles, toxic waste products and bacteria to “leak” through the intestines and flood the blood stream. Zonulin is a protein, synthesized in intestinal and liver cells, which increases intestinal permeability. Hence, less zonulin makes your intestinal wall more resistant.
